We are adding a few pass-through holes in our Ford Transit. This is to route electrical wiring, plumbing, vents, and so on. Below is a list of all these holes; refer to FarOutRide #2 Build Journal for detailed write-up/how-to (links provided below).
Always perform rust-prevention whenever a hole is drilled or metal is trimmed in your van!
Then, add sharp edge protection.

Components passing through this hole:
- Remote air filter of the Air Lift compressor.
- Wiring harness of the Air Lift system.
- Fuel pump harness for the Espar AS3-B2L.
- Toilet’s exhaust (still not install to this day, but our decision will be based on Toilet Guide).
We drilled this access hole with a 2.5in bi-metal hole saw, performed rust prevention, and lastly we added a rubber grommet that we 3D printed (Get the 3D Print File, or Buy on Amazon).

Minor addition to the “Floor 1.1 Wall-driver” bullet list — the Espar fuel pump harness passes through this floor hole as well according to the guide: https://faroutride.com/espar-install/#electrical-wiring
Added!
Thanks Scott for providing all the details with your question/comments, as always. That helps; much appreciated!

Could be updated to include heater pass-through
This was long overdue for an update. Thanks for the reminder! 🙂
