From our experience living full-time in our van, mosquito screens are a MUST (if you travelled to Yukon, you know what we mean!). We helped our friends Eric and Yuka install The Bug Wall a few years back, and we’re going the same route for our own Transit van 🙂 Let’s dive in!

Sliding Door
We tried to come up with a chronological step-by-step recipe that works every time, but nah. The installation is iterative to find the best fit: one step forward, two steps back, readjust, then move on, etc.
Watch the video above (best), check the photos below (meh), grab a drink (cheers), and just start (required).
Degrease the seal as required, clean the work area:

A quick glimpse from inside the van:

Mosquito Simulator 3000. She’s not going through:

Do a preliminary best-fit, use spring clamps to hold in place:

Yeah that should works:

Remove the seal and insert the screen, sections by sections:

Insert included clips where there is more tension:

Make sure the seal is inserted all the way:

We added a velcro strip to help tension the screen in awkward place:

Trim the excess material all around the sliding door:

Rear Doors
We will install the rear doors’ mosquito screens a bit later, will update when we get there!
